Using Koi

Koi is a free, open-source browser for macOS, made by Alex Whalen. You can use it for anything, personal or commercial.

License

Koi’s source code is released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 and is available on GitHub, where you can also report bugs. You can use, study, change and share it under that license. The license covers the code; the Koi name and logo aren’t included.

Beta

Koi is in beta. Features may change, break or be removed between releases, so keep backups of anything important.

No warranty

Koi and this website are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss or damage that comes from using them.

Built on Firefox

Koi is an independent project built on Mozilla Firefox. It isn’t made, endorsed or supported by Mozilla. Firefox and Mozilla are trademarks of the Mozilla Foundation, and Apple and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Other services

The websites, search engines, extensions, Mozilla accounts and AI agents you use with Koi are run by others, under their own terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version, and using Koi after a change means you accept it.
